Te Taura Here
We are a kaupapa Māori employment preparation and placement programme, supporting rangatahi Māori 16 - 24 years. In partnership with Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei we grow connected, resilient and work-ready young Māori and navigate them into meaningful and sustainable employment, or further education.
We strengthen your identity as Māori and enhance the mana that is already within you. With the support of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, we weave kawa and tikanga into our programme delivery providing a cultural safety net for our team and rangatahi.
With a focus on development outcomes, we take a holistic approach to employment. We understand culture, well-being, pro-social and key life skills are essentials we all need to enter and sustain ourselves in the workforce. We give you tools and guidance, and support your capability to network and acquire positions for yourself parallel to presenting employment opportunities to you. We provide a safe space for you to make mistakes, work on barriers, learn and build better habits. At the completion of the programme, all rangatahi receive 12 months pastoral care support to ensure they remain on track to achieving their employment goals.
